Welcome to the conversation! The above photo is from Chris and my camping trip in Minnesota.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…we are back home from Florida! The drive seemed longer than normal this trip but it was wonderful to spend time with family in the Sunshine state. I was able to get a lot of writing done this trip so that was refreshing. On the way home we stopped at The Lynx Bookstore which was opened by author Lauren Groff. I bought the newest Best American Short Stories which was edited by Lauren on its release date!
Now that we are home Chris and I are back to our after dinner walks! I do love this part of our routines.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… today is Soup Sunday and I am making chicken noodle soup. This is the recipe I am using.
Today is BREAKFAST DAY of course and we went to our normal place since we were home. It was delicious. All the waitresses were dressed in costumes for Halloween which was fun.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…my favorite coffee shop reopened! I took myself there Thursday to work which was so fun. The place was full and I didn’t mind waiting in line. I am glad they were busy!
If we were having coffee I would tell you…Chris, Mykl and I voted on Friday! We went to lunch afterward and since the restaurant was next to my favorite independent bookstore we stopped in there too. Our internet went out so that wasn’t so great. It is still out today so I am not sure what is going on here!
If we were having beverages together I would tell you…..my asynchronous courses and e-books are available. Find the link here.
If we were having beverages together I would tell you…I am working on an essay about the library and my November project. Words are getting onto the page and I am also doing some revisions so the writing life is great!
I am reading this story collection and loving it. The stories are weird and fun.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…Novel November is coming soon! I plan to write and follow Nancy Stohlman’s prompts [in addition to the other prompts I write to]. My goal is to write connected short stories. I plan to start with one of my characters and I will see where it goes. I make up my own rules. I just need to write them down on an index card so I remember from day to day. I am my own worst distraction.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I went to the liquor store to get the ingredients to make two different drinks I am trying to recreate. One is from my trip with my son to Epcot. The other is a drink from the cruise for Chris. They were both successful!
How was your week? Are you planning a project for November? Has the weather turned where you are? I would love to know.
