Welcome to the conversation! The above photo is from Chris and my camping trip in Minnesota. This most recent trip was close to perfect. This picture reminds me of this day two years ago when we were camping in Minnesota at a different state park! That was a memorable day !

If we were having beverages together I would tell you…we are in Florida this weekend to visit family. It’s breakfast day! We are going to a restaurant called First Watch here. We went there on Friday to have coffee and light snacks but decided to go back for a meal today. We are going to the oldest brother’s house later in the afternoon.

I had an amazing breakfast sandwich! The omelet, carrot pancakes, and traditional breakfast all looked good too.

We stopped at WAWA on the way back to the house which always is my sign that I am in Florida. I love me some WaWa.

If we were having beverages together, I would tell you… today is Soup Sunday but we celebrated yesterday with this potato soup. It turned out well but I let it sit too long on the stove. I needed to heat and whisk but we were beyond hungry when we got back! It was just extra thick by the time we ate. Still yummy though.

After dinner we sat out by a fire and a beautiful dusk sky.

If we were having beverages together I would tell you…Spotify recommended a playlist for me and I am enjoying it immensely. I love the Violent Femmes and was able to see them in concert several years ago. Flogging Molly was playing also and I came to love them. I heard Dropkick Murphy when I was in Boston running the marathon in 2012. The songs are all within the same tone of Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphy.

If we were having beverages together I would tell you…I am going to call next month “Novel November”. Apparently, there are more issues with the official NANOWRIMO organization and I need to distance myself from them. There was controversy last year with minor writers being exposed to inappropriate content. There was an AI release last month which is causing a lot of issues among the writer community. Honestly, the changes to the site made me shy away from it years ago. There is still loads of writing community without that site and I plan to lean into my already established circles.

I plan to write and follow Nancy Stohlman’s prompts [in addition to the other prompts I write to]. My goal is to write connected short stories. I plan to start with one of my characters and I will see where it goes.
