Welcome to my #last100dayproject!
What will you do with the remaining 16 days of 2023?
Today’s prompt:
What image or memory comes to mind when you think of “delete”?
Earlier in the month, I listened to the Short Story Today podcast which featured Emma Brankin. One of her stories, “Dear Sophie”, was published in X-Ray Lit Mag. It is a series of emails that the MC writes and then deletes because she cannot find the correct words to convey her thoughts and feelings.
What have you typed out (or your character) that you deleted right after. What comments do you wish someone would have deleted and not sent?
Is there something , or someone, that needs to be deleted from your life?
I invite you to search your notebooks and drives for the prompt word and see what drafts you have that you can resurrect and revise.
What will you write today?
A list
A metaphor
A memory
One sentence
A conversation imagined between you and a stranger
Whatever you choose - have fun!
Happy writing!
I invite you to leave a comment!
You belong simply because you are here.
