87 Days Remain in 2024
A Question and an Image to Spark Creativity #last100days2024 project
Welcome to my #last100dayproject!
There are 87 days left in 2024.
Today’s question: What did you find on your walk?
Today’s image:
What is your relationship to dimes? There is lore that when you find dimes they are messages from dead loved ones. What do you think about that idea?
For the last 100 days, I invite you to join me and experiment.
Each day for the remainder of the year I will share a question and a photo of an item.
You are welcome to write into the question and/or the photo.
Or you can start a new ritual or experiment of your own creation.
I would love to hear about your progress on whatever project you want to begin!
**NOTE**
I do not share drafts of work online because most publications considered this published. You are more than welcome to share your piece in the comments, an excerpt or an update.
I hope for the comments to be a community for us to share these wins.
A little more about me: Tammy L. Evans is a writer, teacher, and coach living in a tiny house on a peninsula with her husband and adventure cat. Her location device is her loud laugh. Her poetry has been published in The Storyteller, FoxGlove Journal, Story Hall, Blue Insights, The Partnered Pen, and others. Her fiction has been published in Gone Lawn, Cabinets of Heed, Spelk, Five on the Fifth, Clover and White, Fiction Berlin Kitchen, and others.
On my walk today I found an Uno card. +4. I was on my way with my writing supplies and planned some uninterrupted time to do some strategic sequential writing at my local McDonald's. Its the closest cafe shop. Got a call from my daughter, which I took...then someone I know from choir who's a talker claimed me and my attention for a good 20 minutes...(and I let him). I also claimed my free latte prize and won 2 other prizes.. As I was leaving, my neighbour called to ask a small favor of me and share some neighborhood news.
My own question for myself this morning was, "How do I KNOW I'm alive?" I've been feeling unappreciated or alone or something. Now I feel so very lucky!
I'd send a photo but can't seem to at the moment. Uno is a card game.
How curious! I've been finding dimes lately. To me it's a reminder to keep sailing, as here in Canada there is an image of the Bluenose schooner. However, I've also been considering writing music about my grandmothers who I didn't get the chance to know.
