Iceland - I miss this coffee so much.
Thank you for joining me for a coffee and a chat today.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…it’s Tuesday! Happy Llama Tuesday to you!
If we were having coffee I would tell you….Sunday was my birthday! I was in Florida and celebrated with Chris and other family. Usually, Chris is in Canada by now but he rearranged the trip for the wedding we attended so I snagged him for my day!
Sunday morning we went to church, had breakfast at a new restaurant, I made potato salad, my brother-in-law cooked steaks, we all took a walk on the beach and had some cocktails with the view of the Gulf. Then when we came home I was surprised with an ice cream cake and candles! It has been a long time since I had a cake with candles for MY birthday. It was lovely.
I chose not to take my laptop with me. I low-key regretted it a few times because I wanted to write faster but overall was pleased with my decision. The amount of writing I do in a day, even for myself is high volume and writing by hand was a reminder of that over the weekend. I am glad I experimented.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I came home to most amazing birthday present from Chris! A whole set of Hexclad cookware. I am so excited. I kept opening boxes and jumping around. It is perfect.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…Monday we had an early flight and had to get up at 3am to get to the airport to catch our flight. I am grateful my brother in law drove us. It did get us back home early in the day which was nice.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…my friend Katie had a birthday surprise for me too! Candles and bubbly! It was such a sweet surprise and we talked about 5000mph to catch up. When you long distance walk with someone there is lots of talking so we had a couple of days to make up for. Texts aren’t the same.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… it is hot. Here and in Florida. Like, the same kind of hot. This is not usually the case. Chris and Mykl put the air conditioner in the window and it is doing its best to cool the house off. Even before we left for the wedding, we ate sandwiches and salads which require no stove at all.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I am looking forward to my tattoo appointment today! Sebastian is gifting me the tattoo for my birthday which makes it more special to me.
I am looking forward to my writing retreat and author event next week too.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… I picked up a good library haul yesterday! I need to learn to read faster. There are so many books I want to read in addition to the reading I do for my writing.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… the FREE 10-minute Creativity Challenge is underway!
Thank you for joining me for coffee today.
I would love to hear if you are celebrating the solstice this week!

Happy Birthday! It's funny though that you start with a Llama Day. I have accepted that the authors write and publish way faster than it is ever possible to read, and I read at my own pace. May your BD celebrations continue for quite a while.
Happy Birthday Week to you !!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 🎂🌻💗
