"chat with my bestie / simmering scripted thoughts / nail down the details" caught my eye today. I wrote about cooking while thinking about what I wanted to say to my wife, and then when she got home and giggled at my facial hair when I kissed her, the words I had previously scripted and cooked for maximum edibility (is that really a word?) turned to ash in the frying pan of my mind.
