Welcome to Day 6
Day 6
Welcome to the challenge! However you show up is perfect! You cannot do it wrong.
For this challenge, you have committed to 10 minutes a day to be creative.
Day 6:
There are several ways a story can be true.
Perspective and lens make a huge difference.
The brain changes a memory each time we recall it slightly which is why when you try to compare a situation with another person who was there you remember it differently.
Today I want you to set your timer and begin with the stem:
THE TRUTH IS
Just let your brain take you where it wants to go. You might write about the same truth the whole time or you may make a 2 mm shift of truth like a kaleidoscope. You may switch between several truths.
Allow what comes.
Happy Writing!
Reflection on your writing:
What surprised you?
Is there something else you want to create now?
Did you use all the senses or just certain ones? Why do you think that might be?
Which Accountability Level Will You Choose?
[You can choose differently each day!]
Just create and keep it for yourself!
Hit reply and send your piece or a picture to me! I will read/look at it and send you good vibes and a thank you.
Find a buddy. Send the email to a friend and send each other your creations.
Post in the comments.
Happy creating!
I love the 10-minute time frame. Amaze yourself with what you can get done!
I've been having vivid dreams of my youth, and recently I went back in time to the day I found out my brother had stolen my precious collection of glass marbles to impress his friends at our primary school. I was two years older, so I had stored my collection in an ice cream container and packed it away in my wooden toy box. I only discovered my marbles were gone a few days before I left for Cape Town to study dance 8 years after they were stolen. My brother never admitted guilt or apologized. I was furious. I'm 48 and I'm still traumatized by the incident. It might have something to do with why I tend to hoard things.
Today's piece is titled, "Truth is a Hole I Often Fall Into."
