Welcome to the Tiny Writing Experiments Challenge!! The experiments may lead to poems, or they may not, but they will be short creativity bursts you can play and have fun with!
Today is also my husband’s birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHRIS! (He loves when I mention him!)
We will be having baked chicken with potatoes and carrots today for birthday dinner!
Day 6 Tiny Experiment:
Create a Tablescape.
I used to love to host a dinner party in my house. It was large and open and accommodated a lot of people. I had my Oma’s dining room table that sat 8 comfortably. I had a china cabinet full of dishes, tablecloths, napkins and all styles of dishes and adornments.
Now, I live in a tiny house and have dinner at the table every night but is not as decorated. I do not have the storage I had before, nor the desire to go all out for this type of decoration.
BUT, I still research tablescapes and plan dinner parties in my notebooks. I have hosted virtual dinner parties for my Sunday share posts occasionally too.
You can read that here:

Today’s Experiment:
If you had no limits, what is a tablescape you create for an afternoon?
Would you base the theme on a book you love? I would love to have a Night Circus tablescape. Or a sports team, a holiday, an anniversary of some sort? A color!? A place-based tablescape to commemorate a trip? Iceland? Tulum? The possibilities are endless.
Here are some visuals for inspiration:
I love the disco balls!
My parents were diplomats so there were many, many dinner parties. I have much of the gorgeous table ware but, sadly, rarely used now.
I'm mesmerized by the dining hall at Hogwart's. That's the table where I want to be.
