Thank you for joining me for a coffee and a chat this last July Sunday.
Let’s pour ourselves a cup and begin our conversation!
We returned home this week after lots of turmoil and issues. Leaving Florida kept getting delayed, but I am grateful we are home for now.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… my husband and I were back at our regular Sunday breakfast place this morning and it felt wonderful! Our regular waitress had had a heart attack while we were gone and I was sad to hear that. She seems to be feeling well now and back to work. She has to change her diet but seemed resolved to do so for her health.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I ran in new shoes yesterday. Always love a first run with new kicks! It was nice to run back home on my regular route. The shoes are more yellow than orange, but I love my Sauconys!
If we were having coffee I would tell you…my son got the first part of his sleeve tattoo yesterday and I went and sat with him a bit. It was fun to catch up with him and also to distract him. One part of the tattoo goes onto his hand which was more painful for him than he thought. We are going to see the Haunted Mansion movie on Tuesday and I am super excited about it. We watched the trailer for the first time when we were standing in the Jungle Cruise queue at Disney World earlier this year!
If we were having coffee I would tell you… we picked up my hubby’s Harley from the shop! He is having so much fun with it and it is the perfect bike for him. I am so proud of him for being safe and alert with everything concerning the bike. He has wanted one for a long time and I am glad he can now fulfill that dream! My motorcycle man looks good riding down the road too!
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I made corn chowder and garlic mushroom pasta since being home. It has been delightful! I also made avocado salsa to take to a party Chris and I went to Saturday night. Cooking is good!
If we were having coffee I would tell you...my writing is going well, but it feels more fragmented lately. While we were away in Florida there was some time to write but with the family stuff going on I was distracted. I was able to get some submissions out before we left but I have to get back into my routine. I am in revision mode for several stories and I am examining the sentences at this point as well as the overall story.
I am teaching and taking several classes over the next 10 weeks or so. The Story Intensive with Sarah Selecky will be starting up for the new semester at the end of August which will keep me busy, but also inspired. [Registration will be opening up again right before it begins.]
I am grateful to have many talented writers in my immediate circles.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… I am enjoying my IG challenge. You can check it out here: https://www.instagram.com/writertammy/
The tag is #readwritegrow . Each day there is a question for you to answer on your own feed. Use the hashtag and tag me in your post so I can come to say hi!
