Coffee from Iceland!
If we were having coffee I would tell you…the cup pictured above is from a cafe in Iceland that has a people greenhouse. It is a lovely space with heaters and glass walls where you can watch the foot traffic go by on the main street in Reykjavik.
Soup Sunday is chili today! I am making homemade cornbread to go with it.
It was breakfast day + again today since my BIL is still here from Florida. (He sadly gets on a plane tomorrow.) Chris and I had our regular order, and it was a lovely time. It is quite cloudy today and there is rain in the forecast. The weather apps have lied all week so we will see what actually comes from the sky.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I attended my Shut Up And Write group yesterday. White noise was my friend since we were sharing the space with a Kentucky Derby event. We learned it was a train bar crawl. A pianist played and there were many hats. We had someone new come and write with us too. One of our members who has a lot of restless energy requested a song from the piano man and danced during our writing time! She is always entertaining.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…my brother-in-law was here all this past week. My husband has a Spring Break project every year and his brothers assist. This year’s projects were my writing shed and Chris’ potting shed in the back.
Look! I have a door! The three windows look out onto the lake in the back.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I had a few meetings this week. One for my role at the writing school, some revision and general writing conversation. I have one today as well but it will be a fun one.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I have been writing away on my various projects this week in between making lots of food for the men outside working in all types of weather!
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I am still having problems with my headphones and the dongle that allow me to listen on my phone. I might have to break down and get Bluetooth headphones. I had some before and didn’t care for them.
If we were having coffee, I would recommend…
