A turtle in a turquoise wedding dress wields a digital crayon with inhuman dexterity. She draws the sky like her ancestors showed to her in her dreams.
"Northern Lights is what they called them," she whispers. "Back on earth, our birthing planet which is no more."
That night she is sent more dream visions from the other dimensions she has recently accessed.
At the wedding, her husband slips a coral wedding ring over her flipper and the mermaid choir sings a song of planets inhabited by genetically engineered nonhuman life.
And the music is heard by the universe.
And all who hear the songs remain at peace for a little while longer.
