Thank you for joining me for a coffee and a chat this July Sunday. It’s hot! Let’s pour ourselves a cup from the pot and begin our conversation!
I have been in Florida all this past week for all kinds of reasons, none of them being vacation. I do cherish the time with my husband as always!
If we were having coffee I would tell you… took a class with Nina Schuyler and it was amazing! She is on the West coast so it was later for me in Florida than normal but it was worth it to stay up. I love her Substack.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…hosted Sherrie Flick for Centered on Wednesday. It was an amazing session about different types of time. I was excited that I was able to chat with her about 10 minutes before the class started. Sherrie is such a great teacher.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…continued to write and run every day. I was happy to be running on a trail again. I have sweat more this week than I think I ever have in my life. Writing was different because of the schedule while we were here. I was able to get lots of notes and my daily prompt every day. I was able to get some reading done as well. I am reading “Braiding Sweetgrass”. It has been on my TBR pile forever but hearing Chris LaTray tell me it is an essential book moved it to the top. It is amazing and I am so glad to be reading it.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… almost died from heat here in Florida. It won’t even seem hot in Indiana when we get back! LOL I have had to remember to drink water.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I miss cooking. We have eaten some great food here and some adequate food but a lot has been processed. Our tummies are not used to that kind of diet anymore. I am looking forward to cooking the later part of the week.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… enjoyed Beth Kempton’s IG challenge #meetthewriter. You can check out my posts here: https://www.instagram.com/writertammy/
Beth’s challenge has inspired an idea for my own IG event #readwritegrow . It will begin on Wednesday! You can check my feed on IG and there will be a question for you to answer on your own account. Use the hashtag and tag me in your post so I can come say hi!
If we were having coffee I would tell you… I am teaching a Bradbury Trio course starting August 6. The class will be 12 weeks of curated poems, stories, and essays.
