Fun Friday
All Days are Fun but Alliteration works today!
Welcome to Friday!
We are once again, two blocks from the sun here in the Midwest. I am gearing up to go for a walk and sweat all the impurities out of my body. Before I head out, I wanted to share something with you.
As you may know, I love to curate readings and wanted to share a trio with you today.
I have been thinking a lot about curiosity lately and holding questions with me for the day. Maybe something in these readings will spur a question for you to hold and ask yourself and others around you today.
Happy reading!
Poem: Maya Stein’s 10 Line Tuesday: Fireflies
I love Maya’s writing and was introduced to her by Laurie Wagner from 27 Powers.
Maya uses a repeated pattern I am playing with in my writing today.
“I could be …”
“But I’m here.”
“I want…”
“They want…”
Essay: Adam’s Tattoo from Jewish Boston
I am not sure whether I liked this essay or not. I do like the idea of writing about tattoos from a story sense. There are lots of reasons why people get tattoos, why they choose the images they do, and when they get them.
Microfiction Story: Tennis Elbow KIM MAGOWAN Fractured Lit
I love Kim’s writing. She has a story called Mad Lib which has stayed with me for a long time. This story is about a couple who has a private joke that goes on until it is not funny, but upsetting. There is so much story in such a small amount of words.
Have you read anything that has stuck with you lately? I would love to hear!
