If we were having coffee, I would tell you…it’s BREAKFAST DAY! Last week I ordered over-easy eggs, sausage, and toast. Today I went with the Denver omelet.
Last week I had many meetings, and today is no different. Have you ever attended an event from the Poetry Pharmacy? Last week I went to a workshop about Wonder Prescriptions with James Crews.
I have my Unpublished to Published course call and my Trio call today! New readings dropped for the Trio course today, and I am super excited about the selections this week.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…my son turned in his paperwork for his passport. It was a reschedule and I am glad to have it moving forward. We have done all we can at this point and now we wait for it to show up.
Our lunch was a new pizza place I wanted to try. It was good while we were there, but an hour later I regretted my choice a bit. My stomach hurt, and I was tired. I am not sure if it was the coal-fired pizza or the fried pickles. It didn’t slow us down - we still traveled around to various shops. It was a good visit, as always with him.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I attended my IRL writing group at the coffee shop in Miller. It was lovely, as usual. I did not have the desire to work at an urgent pace as usual. I can get into the mode of having a checklist and not being satisfied unless I am diligently ticking off things. I honestly just wanted to talk to my friend who sits across from me….but it is called Shut Up and Write for a reason. I also get annoyed by other people who come and want to chat to everyone the whole time so I cannot be that person!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I had an amazing day in Chicago on Friday. Art museum, new to me bookstore, yummy lunch and a walk around the new Harry Potter store. It was way too crowded, too hot and too late in the day for me to do anything more.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I almost didn’t post this today.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I have written all the assignments for my SmokeLong summer program! I will continue the streak next week!
I read a lot this week and did revisions. I had my accountability meeting for my Margot project and a write-in with 2 friends. It was productive!
Happy Birthday to my friend Leslie today!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I am happy to be making chili today!
I wish you a good week!!

Pizza + fried pickles... you were playing with fire : )
I love having virtual coffee with you!
