If we were having coffee I would tell you…Happy New Year! Chris and I began a new tradition this year. We took a hike at the Dunes National Lakeshore on New Year’s Day. I used to run out there all the time. There are a lot of great memories there from my running days but there are also some more difficult ones. There has been a lot of reprogramming of spaces in Northwest Indiana since I moved back 2.5 years ago.
For New Year’s Day dinner I made meatloaf which I have not made for years. It was ok. I have to tweak the recipe next time.
Today, of course, is breakfast day! There is space in our schedule every week for this tradition! Chris and I had a breakfast date since Mykl is in Florida! All the holiday decorations are down and the walls were bare. It will be interesting to see what goes up in their place.
Don’t worry though…Mykl went to breakfast with Steven in Florida! No one was left out of breakfast day!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… the next Full Moon Writing Gathering [FREE] will on January 13, 2025! We are back on Zoom so you can register here!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… Soup Sunday today is Creamy Mushroom because Mykl [who is allergic to mushrooms] is in Florida this week.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…this is one picture from each day from the last week!

If we were having coffee I would tell you…I am doing a lot of revision work today. I have two writing meetings. It is about 22 degrees so I think I will do a workout in the house. It will be a good day.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…the mini Bradbury Trio challenge is starting today for all subscribers. A separate post is published with a poem, a story, an essay, and a prompt. I hope sharing these will add to your writing and reading life this week!
If we were having coffee I am excited to tell you…Chris and I are traveling back to Iceland next month! I am so excited to be doing the Golden Circle Tour this time and staying in a more downtown hotel.
If we were having coffee I am excited to tell you… a new round of the Bradbury Trio Course will begin February 16, 2025. There are limited spots for this course and it will be facilitated through the platform WetInk.
The course will run 4 weeks. There will be two themed reading weeks and two writing weeks. Participants will write and share two pieces and give feedback to two other writers in the private WetInk Space.
You are welcome to write whatever form and genre speak to you! The prompts are open enough to accommodate everyone.
More info and registration coming soon!
If we were having coffee, I ask you…what is the thing you eat for dinner when no one else is home?

If we were having coffee at a cozy little café, our hysterical laughter would draw the amused/annoyed attention of everybody in the joint.🤣☕️
Love the cat picture, I gotta say.
