Thank you for joining me for a coffee and a chat today. Let me pour you a cup and begin our conversation! I am adding cayenne and cinnamon to my cup today for a little zing. I also have pumpkin spice creamer if you like.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…Chris and I went on a breakfast date this morning. The food was delicious again. The omelets have been tasty these last few weeks (more than usual). It is a weekly ritual I look forward to with my husband. It is a nice grounding ritual we have to begin the week. The past few weeks have been trying on several levels but we relish that togetherness.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… this week was full of me writing in Starbucks during the day. I can get a lot done during this time because I cannot do dishes, or laundry or any other mundane way I distract myself! I have been using old pieces of writing in almost every new piece I am generating which has been working well. I feel productive and accomplished with this method.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… my son and I got matching Disney tattoos yesterday! It was a great day and time spent with him.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…the weather has finally taken a cool turn that feels like fall rather than third summer.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I had coffee this week with a woman from book club and it was lovely. We met at my favorite coffee shop in town and the chatting was easy. We closed the place down! She is a writer also. There are parallels to our stories which was fun to discuss. She used to live in LA so we spent a lot of time talking about the interesting people she has met along her journey. She has offered to teach me how to knit which I am thankful for. We will get together again after Chris and I return from Iceland.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…the #last100days project is underway and if you have missed any of the days reading the prompts are contained in the section at the top of the page marked LAST 100 DAY PROJECT. You are welcome to join now and you do not have to “make up” any days.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… week 10 of the Bradbury Challenge started today.
Thank you for joining me for coffee today! I would love to hear something you would tell me about if we were having coffee.
