I invite you to join me for a cup of coffee and a conversation.
Thanks to Natalie the Explorer who provides space to link and celebrate Weekend Coffee Share posts!
IF WE WERE HAVING COFFEE I WOULD TELL YOU:
It is snowing lightly today. They are big flakes that look like they are tumbling down in slow motion. There is a fire in the fireplace that always makes me happy. The cat is curled up at my feet snoozing.
A friend of mine let me know there is a woman who is cooking recipes off of gravestones. I find this fascinating. I think this trait will find its way into a story. I have the perfect character for this!
My Kathy Fish class was this weekend and has been a great experience for me. Kathy’s classes always are. There were new prompts and new pieces for me to read.
My new driver’s license came in the mail!
Things that have been on my mind - Glimmers from Pam Houston. Natalie Goldberg and focused freewrites. Cait Flanders and her substack.
I listened to the London Writers Salon interview with Derek Sivers and it was amazing. I found several ideas to write about including my last piece for my Kathy Fish class.
I love my life and every day I live it I come to this conclusion. After struggling for so many years with various aspects this is a feeling almost beyond words.

#oneword - DEPTH
My word is DEPTH this year but the word WILD keeps coming up for me, especially in connection to writing. It is a question I keep asking myself and writing about. It is a question I am asking my cards as well.
