Baka Baka cafe in Reykjavik, Iceland
Thank you for joining me for a coffee and a chat today.
Write with me today!
If we were having coffee I would tell you..the time change happens on March 10th. I know this is a week away but, I am not a fan of the time change, especially not the spring forward. Daylight savings is not my friend. I have written about it many times.
I am not sure we are saving anything. I didn’t save any sunshine. It isn’t in a bottle that I can open when I need it. It isn’t in a Sunshine bank account that I can withdraw from.
Daylight savings time is JET LAG with NO TRAVEL
Writing Prompt: Write about JET LAG. This could be social jet lag, travel jet lag or a made up jet lag!
If we were having coffee I would tell you… I am on a plane today heading to Disney World with my son. I am sad to be missing our regular breakfast but I will be back next weekend.
Writing Prompt: What is something missing?
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I am participating in a month long Micro Fiction Writing Challenge with SmokeLong Quarterly magazine. The focus is on 100 word stories this first week.
Writing Prompt: Write a 100 word story.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… I went on a great walk with my neighbor friend Katie! It was 3 hours but felt like it went by quickly. We chatted the whole time and she takes a different route than I do so that was fun too.
Writing Prompt: On a long walk…
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I had my 2 hour Part 2 class with Lauren Groff this past week. It was great fun and I enjoyed these two sessions with her.
Writing Prompt: Write about part 2.
Thank you for joining me for coffee today. If you write to any of the prompts I would love to hear about it. Tag me if you publish it on your Substack!
