Welcome to the conversation! The above photo is from the brunch chain First Watch in Florida.
Welcome to a new month! It is December today! When I was teaching my classroom/office would transform on the first of the month.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…Today is BREAKFAST DAY! It was 13 degrees when we left the house. Our pattern continued of our regular table, regular waitress, and orders. We will likely be there again later this week to take the Florida brother-in-law to breakfast.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… I am grateful for you. Thank you for adding to my life. Thank you for reading my blog every week. Thank you for bringing who you are to the world. I am grateful every day not just on a Thursday in November, but want to take this moment to tell you.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… Soup Sunday is not this weekend because it is second Thanksgiving! We are having soup tomorrow!
If we were having coffee I would tell you…this has been a trying week of friendships and the illusions of. I am grateful for the real friends I have who are able to function as adults. I find it to be rare. It is hurtful to me when people only see me as one facet or label or to ignore my feelings all together. I know I cannot control other people’s behavior but it is still frustrating. I have been in too many relationships where my feelings didn’t matter to allow that type of behavior moving forward.
If we were having beverages together I would tell you…..my asynchronous courses and e-books are available. Find the link here.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…the new moon is today! It is called a Black Moon I read. I did my new moon tarot reading yesterday. It is a good day to set new intentions for the next cycle. I have some movement goals I have going which I am pleased with!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…my Thanksgiving was lovely! Everything turned out perfectly and my son came by to visit after dinner. We are hosting the rest of the family today at the house for dinner again. Chris and I love Thanksgiving dinner so it is not a chore to have it again. I do not have to make turkey again today, that is Mykl’s job!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…it was a good week of reading. I did try to go to the public library Wednesday evening and was surprised it was closed early! LOL I was able to pick up my holds on Black Friday since they opened at noon.
I was able work daily on my Margot project and some other side projects.
What are some of your fun plans for the rest of the month?
I need to get my materials together for advent calendars for my son and Chris. It is a fun tradition I chose to carry on. We will also go book shopping on Christmas Eve and read by the fire. It is an Icelandic tradition called Jólabókaflóð.

If we were having coffee today, we would need a lot of refills! So much to talk about 😃
I had my daughter on September 1st, so this is my first holiday season as a little family of three! I'm so excited to include her in our traditions and make new ones. We put up our Christmas tree and saw her face light up at the sight of it. so, this month will be a culmination of holiday celebrations, but also celebrating her every day.
