Thank you for joining me for a coffee and a chat today.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I went to breakfast by myself this morning. I was earlier than normal as my sleep was fitful last night. It was not a surprise to me. There was a thunderstorm last night which shook the house at 1 am and I am missing from my husband. He is off in Canada having a wonderful camping trip with his brothers. I am very excited to be joining him next month on a similar trip!
If we were having coffee I would tell you….I am taking myself on a short trip to meet the author Ashley Poston tomorrow. I am excited to meet her as I love her writing. Her books are so much fun! I will explore the town hosting the event and get some of my own writing done. Plus I get to visit a new bookstore and who doesn’t love that!?
I am treating this week as a writing retreat and have tasks assigned to myself every day. Today is Day 3 of my retreat! I have been writing, revising, reading, and planning for the next quarter. I am making a little book reflecting my week that I add to every day. We will see what emerges in the end.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I co-hosted a Writers’ Salon on Wednesday which was a smooth and fun event! We were in conversation about how trying to find the correct publication to send writing to feels like dating! Someone suggested an app that you could read profiles of places to send writing. It was a lively conversation and I was glad I was able to share time with those writers.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…the Solstice was Thursday! Did you celebrate? I attended a friend’s trance event which was fun and interesting. The full moon was Friday. These two events happening this close together only happens every 20 years or so. It felt special.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I have a SmokeLong event this morning. I fell behind on my assignments for the program while in Florida. I am transcribing the notebook I took with me and drafts from my daily prompts and the SL assignments are in there. Those pieces won’t be posted in those communities, and that is ok.
If we were having coffee I would ask you… what is a question you would like me to answer?
If we were having coffee I would tell you… the FREE 10-minute Creativity Challenge continues for a little while longer.
Thank you for joining me for coffee today.
I would love to hear something from your week and a question you would like me to answer!
