Sunday Coffee Share
Come join me for a coffee and a conversation on January 18th!
If we were having coffee, [or hot chocolate, or hot water with lemon] I would tell you…it’s BREAKFAST DAY ! Chris and I joined Mykl at the restaurant this morning. It is getting harder and harder to set the alarm to go eat Sunday mornings. I love this routine, but when it is 10 degrees F out… it is hard. The omelet and magic potatoes were really great today.
As I write this, I am on the couch writing by a roaring fire and a cup of coffee with Butterbeer creamer. This was an impulse purchase yesterday when I was out.
I’m in the house alone (well, with the cats) surrounded by my notebooks and books.
Later, I will make cheater chicken enchiladas with leftover chicken.

📚If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I’m reading The Correspondent and Letters from Skye and Out of Silence, Sound. Out of Nothing, Something. I finished Letter From Japan by Marie Kondo and really enjoyed it. I reread all my own selections for the Trio course this week because we are discussing them today.
I am also reading:

Remember, if the Trio course is not something that fits into your schedule right now, paid subscribers to my Substack receive a Trio every Tuesday. If you are curious how this would work for you, try for a month! If you have questions, you can always reach out in a direct message.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you….I’m loving my paper planner. I was able to make Trio course notes and also writing process notes. I am doodling in the squares for the monthly spread. It is just FUN! I looked for some planner stickers yesterday but there were no planners or planner accessories at all - this was a surprise. I am trying to avoid ordering them online because I want to see them first but I may not have a choice. I have a Michael’s in town so may head there this week.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I have been rucking, even in the snow and ice! I am considering getting a walking pad. Do any of you have one? Like it? Use it? I am curious how it would work on the carpet in my office.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… the Trio groups discuss the readings this weekend. I met with one group last evening, and the other call is this afternoon. I look forward to these calls. They are incredibly fueling to me.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… it is Sunday, and I invite you to write a letter. I am participating in the Sunday Letter Project in 2026. You could write a letter to yourself, someone in your house, or someone where you have to put a stamp and send it away! I have made it a part of my French Sunday routine. There are many Substacks starting Pen Pal clubs too!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I love this list:
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I participated in Nancy Stohlman’s Visioncasting workshop on Friday. Doing so brought me to some conclusions about my planning.
Rejections are still coming in. I have two ALMOST acceptances this month. The rejection is discouraging. I know it means I am doing the work but some good news would be welcome. I love the writing community I cultivate.
I plan to attend my IRL book club this week. This group is full of amazing people and artists. I need to utilize this group more than I do.
If we were having coffee, I would recommend…
This book came onto my radar…
and I ordered it. (It should arrive this week.) I love what Kristy is doing and using each day as a writing prompt. I have done a similar style of journaling with THE PIVOT YEAR and EMBERS.
sihaamn is an Instagram account I have been paying attention to for her journal prompts based on famous author’s practices.
Most of my pictures this week were from my Art Work Day last Monday. If you missed that post, you can read it here:
Have an amazing Sunday and the rest of the week! Thank you for joining me for coffee!
