Thank you for joining me for a coffee and a chat today. Let’s take our coffee and nestle in for a long chat.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…the breakfast ritual continues! We did not get our regular table which was not a big deal but I noticed it. Chris and I had our normal and I drank tons of coffee.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… I attended a workshop with McKinely Valentine this week about newsletters. She is the author of The Whippet newsletter and she also writes for 2 Australian TV shows that are trivia-based. Her mindset pieces were interesting. She said that she shares what she does in her newsletters because it is interesting to her so therefore she feels other people will find it interesting as well.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… I am leaving for Iceland tomorrow for my writing retreat. We have had this trip planned for so long it seems surreal that we will be on a plane tomorrow evening. I am excited, and nervous and all kinds of emotions that I don’t even have names for. Chris seems very calm. He knows he will have to reassure me until we get there! LOL
If we were having coffee I would tell you… yesterday I drove to see a friend whose son was playing in a Lacrosse tournament near me! It was fun just to sit on the sidelines and watch him play and to chit chat with my friend. It was a beautiful day but so windy!
If we were having coffee I would ask you… what is a question you would like me to answer? A story you would like to hear?
If we were having coffee I would tell you…the #last100days project is underway and if you have missed any of the readings, the prompts are contained in the section at the top of the page marked LAST 100 DAY PROJECT. You are welcome to join now and you do not have to “make up” any days.
If we were having coffee I would tell you… week 12 of the Bradbury Challenge started today. It is the last week and I can hardly believe these weeks have flown so fast!
The course has been popular and well received so I plan to do another edition starting in January.
I will also be offering one on one and small group coaching for writing and a personalized Unpublished to Published course. More details coming soon.
Thank you for joining me for coffee today! I would love to hear a story in the comments about something that you experienced this past week.
If you need a suggestion:
Where is the best place you have traveled in your life?
What is a silly question you would like to share? (Ex. Will I ever go to bed before 3 am? Why did I get my soda for free at the gas station yesterday?) I am starting a questions journal!
If you like this content and think someone else you know would like it too please forward it to them!

Today I participated in fixing an irrigation water line leak (x 2) in a small community. I am 70, the only female on our rural water district board of directors. I work with 4 others, mostly 80-something farmers, backhoe driver and shovelers. What a blessing. They are kind old-timey men.
