Today I was up before 5 am for no other reason than I was done sleeping. I have two writing meetings I am looking forward to today. I may do some errands but there is freezing rain outside so I may opt-out. There are books and food here.
Before it was light outside, I was sorting through some Keep notes and found lists and lists of questions I had saved. Some are journal questions, others are revision questions. Questions keep me curious. I even have a question journal. Some I saved to write to later and many notes I deleted. It feels good to purge the bulk.
Yesterday I had planned to do some errands but there was a coat of ice on my Explorer and I realized while scraping the windshield that those errands weren’t necessary or urgent. I went back inside, and my husband and I went for a walk instead. We even walked across the frozen lake!
I will be open to what the day brings!
The Bradbury Trio [reading a poem, an essay, and a story every day] fuels my writing.
This trio structure works for me because I am inspired to write after I read.
I hope the reading you do today leads you to writing that could not have been created any other way.
Here is some of what I read today.
Poem: “three questions”
Story: A Writer’s Desk: A Buyers Guide
Essay: Writing a Book 1000 Words at A Time
What will these pieces inspire you to write!?
What are you writing in your notebook today?
I would love to know your favorite lines in the comments.

I'm so glad you got that walk in with your husband. I wish my spouse would walk with me more. I also applaud you for realizing the errands weren't necessary. You chose to leave the rat race and appreciate the winter day with family. That's good medicine.
