This is a writing prompt that leads to something else...
Set your timer for 3 minutes and write down as many words that begin with P that you can think of.
After the timer goes off think about how you talked to yourself while writing.
Were there words you felt that you "cheated" because they were forms of the word before? Did you repeat any words? Or want to?
I love this type of prompt because it gets me started and helps me get out of my own way. Everyone can make a list of alliterated words.
What Next?
There is magic in combining a couple of words from your list to create a phrase
One word may pop and you need to write more about it!
Set the timer for 10 minutes and freewrite from words you choose from your own list and see where it takes you.
What a great time I had with this P prompt. I don’t know where I could share my little essay. I wrote with P words, but maybe it will pop out one day in our Selecky sphere.
I loved this prompt, thank you for sharing it. As I read back over the words to pick a few for free writing, the ones that stood out to me leant themselves more to a quick cartoon drawing than more writing - a fun picture of a penguin wearing a poncho and carrying a parcel and a parasol!
