A Series of Prompts to Get You Writing

Everyone has a favorite food and/or meal.

If you were at a restaurant what would the menu say about these foods? Would you include a snippet of the story or just the mouth-watering description list of ingredients?

I learned years ago there are writers hired to write the copy on a menu.  Lisa Yee who is a children's author used to write the Red Lobster menu.

If you want to take this a step further, you could think of the ideal restaurant you would design. Mine always has soup and bread as main staples with thick wooden tables. What would the atmosphere be? What types of food?

It doesn't have to be complicated either. NPR featured a restaurant that served four items: cinnamon toast, grapefruit juice, coffee, and coconut. Here is an article.
