If we were having coffee I would tell you…today is not Soup Sunday! It is Chris’ birthday so I am making roast chicken with potatoes and carrots. AND there is chocolate cake.
It IS Breakfast Day! The servers sang to Chris with a candle in a butter cup on top of his toast. It was cute.
Today I will spend some time reading. I have been enjoying Bibliophobia and Permission.
I want to dip into Book of Mutter too…someone reminded me of it yesterday.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… this week felt very full. I took myself for a massage on Tuesday which was a delight and something I promised myself in Tulum I would do more often. My past time between massages is about 10 years. The masseuse was very good and I have another appointment booked in a month. She said she could have worked on my back for a whole hour and my shoulders were really tight. Not a surprise to me. When I taught yoga I learned I held tension in my shoulders.
I made a new Moroccan stew this week for dinner. We went to a fish fry Friday. I ran. I cannot explain exactly why the week felt so packed. There were some meetings but nothing over the top. There is always lots of writing so that didn’t change.
If we were having coffee I would tell you….a new 4-week session of the Trio begins May 25th! You can find the info here.
Here are some photos from this week:
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I attended the Shut Up and Write group yesterday. There was a new couple there this week and I discovered she writes guided meditations to accompany her mother’s candles. It is called Scented Whispers! Here is a link to the meditation. I found this idea intriguing and interesting. She also had a really great bag that we all made comment on.
Here was my delicious breakfast:
These really are the best biscuits I have ever eaten.
The pattern has become doing errands after this meeting because I am out anyway but I am not sure I want this pattern to continue. It makes the day feel super long and there are a lot more people out on Saturdays which I do not prefer.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…the tiny writing experiments continue! They are a celebration of National Poetry Month, but they may or may not lead to a poem. My hope is they are fun for you. Today’s is about tablescapes. You can read that here if you missed it.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…
I would also tell you I am teaching my Unpublished to Published course starting on April 20th and you are invited! You can find the information here.
I would love to hear from you in the comments even if it is just to say HI or to ask a question!
I wish you a Happy Sunday full of delights! What is a food that has many stories attached to it for you?
I am working on a memoir writing experiment centered around important food from my life. If you missed it you can read about what I have learned from potato salad and cinnamon bread!
