The moon comforts me. I feel all is right with the world when I can catch a glimpse of earth's close partner in the night sky. There is mystery in the air, but also magic. The excitement of the enigmatic stimulates my imagination to no end. The Chinese word for moon is Yuèliàng (月亮) - which translates to 'moon bright,' not to be confused with 'moonlight' (which is yuè guāng or 月光). If I had to name the moon, I would call it muse or friend or fire or flame, because I can be so easily transfixed by its hypnotic existence.
