Thanks for sharing! Sorry you missed AWP, but it sounds like you're being productive. I haven't been able to read because I'm trying to finish my first novel draft by the end of next week. I haven't been to a museum in awhile. I hope to go soon. It is always a great refresh.
It was a last-minute decision! I definitely got some good insights out of it — and, as you know, it's always inspiring/nourishing to be surrounded by fellow writers :) I also got to sit front row and see Melissa Febos speak yesterday, and she is one of my favorites. Worth the price of admission for that alone!
I loved the details of your Artist Date! The train ride, time with the pieces, and also the reminder that even if we don't have a member's lounge, a commuter train, or a cafe to sit and read and write in, we often are surrounded by places -- nooks, libraries, benches, trees -- to pull over from the "walking lane," put it in park, and read, write, reflect, breathe. Also, I signed up for the "100 days," too. I don't open them daily; I'm using them as a sort of unscheduled advent calendar of fascist survival, to open as emotions/events warrant. Thanks again for a thought-provoking coffee share (during which I am consuming actual coffee).
We missed you at AWP!

I’m sad to have missed you at AWP, but love reading about all of the creative generation from your Artist Date and fake AWP!
How did I miss you were going to be at AWP? AGGGGG! I should have figured with you being so close too. Hope it was inspirational for you.

That would have been amazing to see Febos speak!

I love the idea of the 100 days as an advent calendar!
