Welcome to the conversation! The above photo is from the brunch chain First Watch in Florida.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…Today is BREAKFAST DAY! Everything was routine about today. The hashbrowns were good and so was the omelet. We had the big cups of coffee. All the waitresses know to fill my coffee cup when they are walking by. I drink so much while we are there it would not surprise me if I have a patron nickname related to the coffee I drink!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you… Soup Sunday is broccoli cheddar. I am warming up (slowly) the leftovers from a couple of weeks ago. We got a new chest freezer and did some switcheroos so we could defrost the standing freezer.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I finally read NightBitch by Rachel Yoder. It was recommended to me by two friends one more recently and one over a year and half ago! I also read The Hundred Year Old House by Rebecca Makkai.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I took myself on the best artist date this week. I had been telling myself that I was going to take a trip to the Art Institute of Chiago. I took the train in and became a member of the museum and zig zagged through the floors and allowed myself to be pulled into many directions.
My son and I took a trip to the museum on Saturday as well. So this is how I do things…I don’t go to the museum for YEARS and then go twice in one week! LOL
If we were having beverages together I would tell you…..my asynchronous courses and e-books are available. Find the link here.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…the #last100daysproject continues. If those questions and prompts are not lighting you up or you want more prompts you can check out the 10 Minute Challenge I did in June for my birthday month. All the prompts are there and you can lead yourself through a self guided creativity challenge. Here is the first prompt to get your started:
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I started my Short Story Toolkit course with Rebecca Makkai on Tuesday. For some reason, I thought it was a one hour class. No. It was 2 hours plus the Q and A portion. I will plan better for this week.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you…I participated in #onedayhh hosted by Laura Tremaine on IG. It is an hour by hour account of your ordinary day. It is fun and fascinating to see what others days look like. Check out my IG if you want to see what I was up to that day.
What is something that inspired you this week? What is something good that happened, no matter how small it seems? I would love to hear in the comments.
If you receive my posts through email you can click reply and send a note as well!
