Canda Coffee!
Thank you for joining me for a coffee and a chat today.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…BREAKFAST DAY! We ate our regular breakfast foods but not at the regular table today. A booth isn’t as comfortable as the table.
Chris and I had a lovely date this week. We had a progressive lunch! We started at the winery and shared a variety sampler. Then we had dessert as we waited for our sandwich order to be made. We had our picnic in the park and then wandered through the little garden club area. A trip to the used bookstore completed our downtown tour. It was fun just to be together. The weather was beautiful that day as well. The temperature has been pleasant all week. It can stay this way for a while!
If we were having coffee I would tell you….I joined Poet Camp’s Jumpstarts this week and they are amazing. Sarah is such a warm and wonderful host.
I have been getting a lot of work done which has felt great. Not as much reading this week but I started to amp that up the second half.
If we were having coffee I would tell you….I received two big rejections this week. I know it is part of the writer’s life but this week it was not fun…at all. Usually, I let it go but these two stuck with me for several days for some reason.
If we were having coffee I would tell you…..I went to breakfast yesterday with my son. As I turned into the parking lot my car alerted me that the tire sensor had failed. I have been struggling with my tire pressure for months and had been meaning to take the car to have them checked. The failed part was my alert to not put it off any longer. Luckily, the tire pressure wasn’t affected so I made it safely to Belle Tire. There were leaky stems on two tires I found out when I picked it up several hours later. It wasn’t what I planned to do on my Saturday but now I don’t have to worry about it anymore!
If we were having coffee I would tell you…I am hosting a free write-in on August 13th at 6pm Central/ 7pm Eastern! You can sign up here and I will send you the link early Tuesday! We will chat a bit and then write together for about an hour. I will provide 1 or 2 prompts depending on time.
All are welcome!
