If we were having coffee, I would tell you it’s breakfast day and we took my brother -in-law to our regular place. Our waitress wasn’t there today. The omelet was adequate.
Tomorrow we are headed into the city for some AIC and lunch on the Riverwalk!
If we were having coffee, I would tell you I invite you to a Natalie Goldberg style write-in Wednesday, July 29th at 6pm Central!
Register here: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/0UDcOp3kRtuuUXBWiTXueA
We will write in 10-minute chunks. There will be a no-pressure opportunity for some readalouds with NO FEEDBACK. In NG style, after a person reads we all just say “Thank You”. It is a different feeling to a share than other write ins but a valuable experience. Plus, it is just fun to get together and write.

Broken/Open
Broken/Open
James Crews
There is a difference between
being broken, and broken open.
But we don’t always get to choose
which state we slip into during
moments of pain. If simply broken,
we must seek the help of those
opened by their suffering, trusting
this is how we each take turns.
And if blessed to be broken open
this time, we must become like
a tomato in late summer, having
absorbed so much light and heat,
it finally splits down the middle.
Yet see how birds flock to the crack
in its skin, seeds spilling an urgent
feast for all who come near.
If we were having coffee, I would ask you if you knew I had started a Disney Substack? If you love Disney please check it out! If you don’t love Disney, but know someone who does, please forward it to them! I appreciate it.
My Write Around the World Showcase Guide is available now!
I had to switch to PAYHIP because Gumroad changed their parameters.
*****I am excited to announce a BIG class starting October 1! I am super excited to combine all the things I love to teach in one 8-week class. I am announcing now since it is a higher-priced offer.

If we were having coffee, I would share some things I enjoyed reading this week:
In my classes, I often ask What is haunting this story? [A Question I picked up from Carmen Maria Machado] This post is aligned with that idea….

Thank you to those who have used my code! It is so appreciated! I hope you are enjoying the app as much as I do!
FETCH
The last time I went to Disney, I redeemed my points for a gift card. It is super easy and is legit. All you have to do is scan receipts, which takes seconds. There are other ways to earn points like playing games and buying specific items. I tend to not pay attention to that part, but you could earn points much faster. If you use my code, we both get points!
I love this app! Turn basically anything you do into gift cards with Fetch. Earn at stores, restaurants, and shopping online. Even playing free games. Download Fetch with my link or use code P8BMWM to get a bonus when you submit your first receipt.

I hope you have an amazing Sunday and the rest of the week! Thank you for reading to the end! If you have a friend you think would enjoy this post, please forward it to them!
