When I read this brilliance out of the mouths of children, it is so humbling. Why do I even write?
I love the way kids talk! My wife (a private tutor) was teaching creative writing to one of her younger students, and I heard her down the hall telling the little boy about me, "You know, my husband's a writer," and the kid goes, "Oh, is he published?" ; )
How delightful! When we, as adults tap into that part of us, we can sweep away so much pressure to be other than our basic natures and the "I am adult" expectations that can keep us learning newnesses. (Talking to myself here...)

They can be brutal only in the way innocence can :)
